Timberland made exceptionally eco-conscious waterproof boots by combining both natural and recycled materials. GreenStride™ comfort soles are made using 75% renewable bio-based material, while our ReBOTL™ linings are made of at least 50% recycled plastic diverted from landfills.
Timberland® Waterproof - waterproof footwear incorporates a variety of advanced waterproofing materials, treatments and processes. We start with waterproof leathers that are sealed as part of the tanning process; we then either seam-seal the footwear or use an internal waterproof breathable membrane to help feet stay dry. Tongues and zippers treated with durable water resistant coatings utilize integrated gussets, to further deter water entry.
ReBOTL™ - Billions of bottles across the globe are collected, recycled and turned into RPET yarns that we then use to make products, helping reduce waste and support jobs, too. Apparel products with ReBOTL™ material contain at least 40% recycled plastic
OrthoLite® - Stay comfortable all day long with Timberland® footwear featuring lightweight OrthoLite® foam insoles. The ultra-breathable material won’t break down or lose its ability to absorb shock; it also has a moisture management system plus a salt-based antimicrobial treatment for odor control.
Better Leather - Environmentally responsible leather sourced from tanneries rated silver or gold by the Leather Working Group for their water, energy and waste management practices.
GreenStride™ - technology provides one of the most eco-conscious and comfortable experiences that we have ever invented. Comfort in most shoes is delivered through a soft foam material called EVA which is typically made from petroleum-based ingredients. As we lessen our footprint and increase our use of renewable materials, we have replaced 75% of the petroleum with ingredients grown in nature, like sugar cane and rubber sourced from sustainably managed forests. The addition of natural rubber helps provide rebound and overall comfort.
